Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the PETG website and the purchase of goods supplied through it. By submitting an enquiry or placing an order, you agree to these conditions and any written quotation issued for your order.

1. Acceptance of these website terms

These Terms of Use apply to all visitors, customers and users of this website. The site is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of PETG, with goods supplied from Cape Town and couriered or collected according to the service selected. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the site for enquiries or orders.

We may amend these terms from time to time to reflect changes in pricing, product ranges, delivery methods, municipal requirements or operational practices. The version shown on the website at the time of your enquiry or order will apply to that transaction unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Product information, sizing and material advice

We take care to describe PETG sheets, film and filament accurately, including thickness, size, finish and available cutting options. Where products are cut to size, the measurements supplied by you will be treated as the basis for the work. It remains your responsibility to confirm that the chosen material is suitable for the intended use, including heat exposure, outdoor conditions, moisture and load-shedding related equipment needs.

Any advice provided by our team is practical guidance only and does not amount to an engineering, compliance or design guarantee. If a job requires specific tolerances, flame behaviour, food contact approval, electrical clearance or another regulated standard, you must request this before ordering.

  • Confirm all dimensions before approving a quotation or cut list.
  • Check that the selected thickness suits the application.
  • Tell us if the job must remain film protected for installation or handling.
  • Provide any hole marking or edge finishing instructions up front.

3. Orders, payment and cutting instructions

An order only becomes binding once we have accepted it in writing and, where required, received payment or proof of payment. Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation or, if none is stated, for a reasonable time subject to stock and material price changes. Large batch cutting, small batch cutting, strip cutting and panel cutting may require job approval before production starts.

Please supply clear instructions for straight cuts, custom sizing, hole marking, deburring and courier packing. We are not responsible for errors caused by unclear dimensions, incomplete drawings or changes submitted after work has started. Any extra work requested after acceptance may be charged separately.

  • Orders may be paid by the methods stated on the quotation or invoice.
  • We may request deposit payment on special cuts or large quantity orders.
  • Released goods remain subject to payment in full.
  • Labelling and packing instructions must be given before dispatch.

4. Collection, courier delivery and risk

Sheets may be collected from Epping or other collection points where arranged, and filament is couriered nationwide. Delivery times are estimates only and may change due to stock availability, routing, weather, road closures, strike action or courier delays. We will use reasonable care when packing goods, especially for edge protection and moisture control, but the final delivery timetable sits with the courier or collection arrangement selected.

Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are collected or handed to the courier for delivery, whichever occurs first. You should inspect all items promptly on receipt and report any visible damage, shortage or discrepancy without delay. Claims made long after delivery may be difficult to assess fairly.

5. Returns, defects and non standard jobs

Cut sheets, custom sizes, marked panels and other made-to-order items are generally not returnable unless they are defective, supplied incorrectly or materially different from the agreed order. Any return request must be submitted through the enquiry form on our contact page and must include order details, photographs and a clear description of the issue.

Where we accept a defect claim, our remedy may be repair, replacement, re-cutting or a refund at our discretion, depending on the circumstances and stock availability. Natural variations in colour, surface appearance or minor handling marks within normal manufacturing tolerance do not automatically amount to a defect.

6. Use of the site and limitation of liability

You may use the website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with its operation or the use of it by others. You must not misuse quotation forms, submit false information, or attempt unauthorised access to any part of the site or records.

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, PETG and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, production downtime, or damage arising from misuse of the goods, incorrect installation, unsuitable storage or failure to follow written instructions. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid for the goods giving rise to the claim.

  • Keep material dry and stored flat or upright as appropriate.
  • Avoid exposure to excessive heat during transport or storage.
  • Check all dimensions and quantities before cutting or fitting.
  • Use appropriate handling methods for sheet sizes and edge condition.

7. Privacy, contact and governing law

Any personal information submitted through the enquiry form will be handled in line with our privacy practices and used to respond to your request, prepare quotations, process orders and manage delivery or collection. By using the website, you consent to the processing of information necessary for these purposes.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through normal customer support channels may be dealt with in the competent South African court having jurisdiction over the matter.
