Working at PETG means being part of a small, practical team that handles PETG sheet cutting and 3D-printing filament supply from Epping, Cape Town. We hire people who are reliable, hands-on and ready to work with customers across South Africa.

Careers

A place for people who like proper work

We are based in Epping and serve customers who need clean sheet cuts, careful packing and steady follow-through. Some days are about measuring and cutting, other days are about helping a customer choose the right thickness for a sign, machine guard or prototype. If you like work that is exact and useful, you may fit in well here.

Our team handles local collection in Cape Town and courier orders nationwide, so timing matters. We work around load-shedding, busy courier cut-offs and the normal realities of manufacturing in South Africa. That means planning ahead, keeping jobs labelled and making sure each order leaves in good order.

Roles we commonly hire for

We do not list a fixed vacancy page because needs change through the year. Instead, we look for people in the following areas when the time is right:

  • Sales and customer support for enquiries, quotes and product guidance
  • Production and cutting roles for straight cuts, strip cutting and panel cutting
  • Logistics and packing for courier packing, labelling and dispatch
  • Technical support for hole marking, edge deburring and small batch work

Experience helps, but a good attitude counts too. We value people who are punctual, careful with material, and willing to learn how PETG sheet and filament orders move through the workshop.

What the work involves day to day

The work is practical and often varied. In one shift you may help with custom sizing for a contractor in Bellville, then prepare filament for courier delivery to Durban, Gqeberha or a farm workshop outside Worcester. Accuracy matters because a few millimetres can affect fit, finish and waste.

Depending on the role, you may be asked to handle stock counts, keep cutting areas neat, assist with loading, or check that film stays on when requested. We do not expect everyone to know everything from day one, but we do expect care, consistency and a willingness to ask questions when needed.

Skills and qualities we look for

Our best people are practical and customer focused. They understand that a sheet may need to be cut to size for a shopfront in Somerset West or packed for delivery to a maker in Pretoria, and that each job deserves the same attention.

  • Good numeracy and measuring ability
  • Care with tools, materials and finished orders
  • Clear communication with customers and team members
  • Ability to work neatly and keep track of jobs
  • Comfort working in a busy production environment

If you have worked in manufacturing, signage, plastics, printing, hardware or a similar trade environment, that is useful. If not, practical experience and a strong work ethic can still carry a lot of weight.

How to apply through our contact form

To apply, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page and tell us a little about the kind of role you are looking for. If you have experience with cutting, dispatch, sales or customer care, include that too. We review applications as opportunities come up.

Please use the contact form only, and make sure your details are up to date. If you can work from the Epping area, or travel from nearby areas such as Parow, Claremont, Montague Gardens or Cape Town CBD, say so in your message. That helps us match people to the right shift and role.

Working standards on our floor

We keep things straightforward. The day starts on time, orders are checked properly and equipment is used with care. We also expect tidy work areas, sensible safety habits and respect for the materials we handle.

Because we serve customers across the country, deadlines can be tight and plans can change. A good team member stays calm, adapts quickly and keeps communication clear. That is how we keep customers coming back and why many people enjoy staying with us once they know the rhythm of the work.
